Gaining practical experience in the field of physiotherapy is as important as the classroom education. Gail Wainwright is the key person who ensures that the clinical experience is a fulfilling part of the Dalhousie Physiotherapy program.

Ms. Wainwright puts her 30 years of physiotherapy practice in good use in her role as Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education. Ms. Wainwright has extensive experience preparing and evaluating clinical educational programs. She conducts numerous workshops and in-services, primarily for the clinics that participate in the clinical practicum portion of the physiotherapy program. 

Ms. Wainwright is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, International Division; and ensures professional standards as a National Surveyor for the Physiotherapy Service Accreditation. She also serves as the Halifax site coordinator for the National Physiotherapy Competency Examination.
